Chicago Crime Chronicles is a new entertainment company built around the stories that shaped this city — the infamous, the overlooked, the cold cases that were never closed, and the ones still being written.
What sets us apart is access. Three decades of relationships inside the Chicago Police Department, the courts, and the neighborhoods where these stories actually happened give us sources and material most outlets never get close to. We're not knocking on doors from the outside — we're already in the room.

Edelstein partnered with director David Lynch at The Picture Factory, producing The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive, then produced the hit horror remake The Ring. He went on to direct and produce the award-winning interactive film Haunting Melissa and its sequel Dark Hearts, and has produced Netflix's Fractured, Disney's The Invisible, and Shelter.
A Chicago Police Officer and Detective from 1989 to 2019 — 30 years on the job — with additional service on the U.S. Marshals fugitive apprehension team pursuing Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives, five years with the FBI Cold Case Task Force, as an MLB security supervisor, and as director of security for the syndicated Jerry Springer show. A Purdue University criminology graduate, his decorated career includes 7 Department Commendations, 90 Honorable Mention Certificates, the Crime Reduction Award, Domestic Violence Police Officer of the Year, and joint operations honors with the FBI and Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
